Banana Bread Smoothies

These are actually called Banana Pecan Smoothies, but John and I decided that they taste like drinking a piece of banana bread. I got the recipe from Southern Living magazine. And since John's dad just gave us hundreds of pecans from his yard, I thought this was the perfect time to try it.

Banana Pecan Smoothies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 2 large ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation

Process yogurt, bananas, ice, pecans, milk, honey, and cinnamon in a blender until smooth. Pour into glasses, and serve immediately.

These are awesome. Try it!

YUM! Those sound AMAZING.

I've been stalking your blog, waiting for an update.
Now I'm going to have to track down some cinnamon in this country so I can make a smoothie.

That sounds yummy and not too much fat. I will have to try it. I drink a smoothie almost everyday since I have started my diet so this would be a good change. If you get anymore lowfat recipes send them my way.
